Automatic gates have become increasingly popular in recent times as the cost of the technology has become more affordable. Automatic gate systems function in the same manner as a remote control garage door. The gate is opened via a remote control on your keyring, or by pressing a button located in a fixed position such as on a wall or a fence.
Automatic gates come in two main variations:
Sliding gates – the gate slides along a fixed track to open.
Swing gates – the gate or gates swing to open or close.
Both types of gates are very popular. In some instances the amount of available space will determine which type of gate you can use at your property.
A slide gate basically needs the full width of the gate on either the right or left to allow sufficient space for the gate to fully retract.
Swing gates also require space to be able to fully swing open. The angle of the driveway also comes into play with swing gates as the gate must be able to swing open without contacting the driveway.
We can also create custom solutions for customers that have unique requirements. For instance, we can install telescopic slide gates which allows for customers to have a slide gate installed with a smaller space required for the gate to retract.
